Sorry for the lack of updates in the past month (us e-boarders have been super busy!!), but I don't want you to think that we're not keeping our eyes and ears open for info of all kinds, to pass along to you guys.
I was reading the New York Times online the other day, and I saw an article which may interest many of you. The Times is reporting that North Koreans are risking their lives for South Korean music and dramas. Pop culture from South Korea is known as "hallyu," and it's popularity is gaining all across the world. And while many of us joke that the addictive nature of these dramas is detrimental to our health, I wonder how many of us would actually risk years of hard labor as punishment for watching them?
Maybe the spread of hallyu will be a key player in the want of unifcation between both North and South by the North Koreans...?? Makes me think....
